Workshop on Saturday, July 18: Introduction to Herbalism

In this workshop co-led by Carole Beaulieu and Laurie-Anne Riendeau, we invite you to explore the many ways medicinal plants can become part of your daily life. Decoctions, macerations, infusions, and liquid extracts: you will learn different methods of extracting the active compounds from plants for personal use. We will introduce the essential medicinal plants to include in your natural home apothecary, along with their properties and practical uses. As part of the workshop, we will also prepare a homemade herbal remedy, and you'll see each step of the process so you can recreate it at home.

On site, you'll have the opportunity to discover medicinal plants in the garden, visit the large herb-drying facility, and explore the cultivation fields. A wonderful day outdoors, weather permitting!
