Workshop on Sunday, September 13: Medicinal Cooking – Recipes and Herbalist Secrets

Using medicinal plants goes far beyond herbal teas! They can also find their way into the kitchen, adding unique flavors and beneficial properties to support a nourishing, preventive, and restorative approach to cooking.

In this workshop co-led by Carole Beaulieu and Laurie-Anne Riendeau, we will explore how to incorporate medicinal plants into everyday meals through pestos, vinegars, broths, culinary infusions, and even aromatic desserts. You will learn how to pair their properties with simple ingredients, adapt their use according to the seasons and the body's needs, and make the most of their digestive, tonic, and soothing qualities. Together, we will prepare and sample a variety of recipes and herbal creations.

On site, you'll have the opportunity to discover medicinal plants in the garden, visit the large herb-drying facility, and explore the cultivation fields. A wonderful day outdoors, weather permitting!
